What are customs fees?

Customs duty refers to the tax imposed on goods when they are transported across international borders. In simple terms, it is the tax that is levied on import and export of goods. The government uses this duty to raise its revenues, safeguard domestic industries, and regulate movement of goods.

Please be aware that customs duties may apply depending on your destination country. These duties are not included in your order's total price and must be paid directly to the carrier or the relevant authorities in your country.

We understand that customs fees can be an unexpected cost, that's why our website has an in-built system that provides clients with information regarding the origin of the shipment. You can double-check that this information is available on both the product page and when you proceed to checkout.

It is also specified in our terms and conditions that we do not cover customs fees:

Depending on your delivery address, different taxation rules and additional charges may apply. If you are shipping items from a Partner outside of your territory, you may need to pay import duties upon receipt of the products. We will notify you during the checkout process if import duties are included or you may have to pay them upon receipt of the products. If they are not included, neither we nor the Partner have any control over these charges and we cannot advise on their amount. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes that are not included. Please contact your local customs office for further information and a “landed cost estimate” before placing your order. Additional information is also available in the "Duties and Taxes" section of our Orders and Shipping page.
